Ken Hodge

Ken’s love of gardening began in childhood when he delighted in growing vegetables for his mother. He spoke the language of plants fluently and found great joy in teaching others. Pursuing a dream Ken shared with his beloved wife Shelly, together they built Hodge’s Family Nursery. Upon these five acres they raised their four kids and later watched their seven grandchildren run and play. Ken was a husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, dear friend, volunteer, and community leader. His vision and presence will always be felt here in Durham and beyond.
